The 2022 World Junior Championships Preview

The 2022 World Juniors are set to kick off. No, you didn't fall into a coma and woke up on Boxing Day. This rendition of the event is being held in August thanks to the original version being cancelled after just a handful of games due to the spread of COVID-19 among its participants.

This second attempt at the annual tournament will run from August 9th to 20th at the Rogers Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. It may have a different feel to it, though, as many would-be participants have opted out for one reason or another, the most common one being that they'd rather focus on making their respective NHL clubs out of camp. Fair enough.
