Film Room: Breaking down Fabian Lysell's game

Few players in the 2021 NHL Draft are more skilled than Fabian Lysell and no one surpasses the Swedish winger in pure rush offence ability. In fact, looking at the past few drafts, Lysell is arguably one of the best rush manipulators to come out of these recent classes, using many techniques that propelled players like Mathew Barzal and Nikolaj Ehlers to a top NHL role. 

Is Lysell the same category of prospect? Not in our eyes -- that would be stretching his overall ability. But a lottery team that has problems moving the puck should take a long look at the winger. Despite his flaws, Lysell will inject a lot of pace and creativity into any formation's transition game.
