Just look at their system at present. They’ve created depth internally at every position with precious few resources in the form of draft capital or futures landed in trade deadline firesales. It’s part of the reason they’re able to contend on a year-to-year basis.

It’s not just the players that the Sharks find at the Draft. It’s the talent they mine from other teams, too.
