BURKE: Re-Ranking the Class of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft

In keeping with Wednesday’s theme, we’re reviewing the NHL draft class of 2017 and trying to determine which players have helped raise their profile and which have seen it drop in the time since.

In time, we’ll try to put another class or two through the gauntlet. For now, it’s the class of 2017 — a group that represents the last board I’d made public before joining EliteProspects Rinkside.

That said, this exercise, unlike Wednesday’s, isn’t about seeing who got what wrong. It’s about determining where the players that make this class would go in a redraft. It’s all 20/20 hindsight, all the time with this article. The only people that get bragging rights are the ones that see the players they picked jump a few spots.
