EP Rinkside 2023 NHL Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 15-ranked Carolina Hurricanes

Prospect Pool Rankings

The Carolina Hurricanes boast one of the NHL's deepest and most interesting prospect pools for yet another season.

That they've continued to regularly contend for the sport's ultimate prize just doesn't seem to matter for this amateur scouting department. They've made one first-round pick and routinely drafted near the tail end of each round for the last three years, and they continue to hum along unabated, one high-upside swing at a time.

They won't connect on the majority of those home run cuts, but they'll get plenty of base hits. That's a philosophy we can get behind at EP Rinkside.

This approach means that while the Hurricanes had just the one skater in the first 85 players in our affiliated skater prospects ranking, they have arguably the NHL's most vast talent pool.

After the first seven or eight names, there's a group of around 20 players who could all be argued for the following positions based on your preferences. Let me tell you, it wasn't an easy job to put them in order.

Let's take a closer look.
