EP Rinkside 2021-22 Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 7-ranked Carolina Hurricanes
The Carolina Hurricanes’ prospect pool continues to be one of the better ones in the league year after year. They seem to accumulate a ton of picks and use them well.
They are coming off of another successful draft where they added 13 new players to their system, including three second-round picks. This helps to off-set the departures of Morgan Geekie and Jake Bean, the former of which was picked by the Seattle Kraken in the expansion draft and the latter traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Though this list is only 15 names long, the Hurricanes have five to ten intriguing prospects on top of that, which speaks volumes about the depth of their system.
They have a league-wide top-25 prospect in Seth Jarvis at the top, followed by a mix of smart, diligent players and high upside bets.
