What We Learned: Pittsburgh Penguins weathering storm early, but can other top teams?

This is basically why all the smart hockey people spent the last couple of weeks saying, "Show me the body," before they wrote off the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Through three games, the Pens — sans Sidney Crosby, sans Yevgeni Malkin, and more recently sans Bryan Rust — sit atop the NHL if not in points percentage then certainly in raw points. And they've looked extremely good doing it. They've outscored opponents by six goals in three games, and their sole loss was to Florida, another team widely considered among the best in the Eastern Conference at a bare minimum.
