Seeing a lot of coaches on teams that are perilously close to dropping out of playoff spots, or perilously close to not-getting one, starting to imply if not outright state that the problem with their teams is that the players just aren't working hard enough or doing what they say.

Which is really funny because of course if you said on the day those coaches were hired, "How much do you want to bet these teams are right on the playoff cut line?" you wouldn't have had to give me particularly good odds to entice me to plop down some serious cash on it.

The fact is that when a writer for The Athletic puts together a piece that's like, "This guy doesn't have a clue," less than a full season into his tenure, or the father of one of the star
