I'll talk a little more about the coaching hires in a bit here, but something I was really laughing about today was how much legwork got done trying to figure out how Greg Cronin got the Anaheim job.
"Surely," all the Insiders said, "it must be because he knows someone in the Ducks organization personally."
And of course that's true because this is hockey and everyone knows everyone else, especially for a coach who's getting his first NHL head-coaching gig at 60 and has been a coach in some capacity since… 1987-88? How can that possibly be right?
