Ottawa Senators fire general manager Pierre Dorion
The Ottawa Senators are relieving Pierre Dorion of his responsibilities as the team's general manager after parts of eight seasons at the helm.
This move comes only hours after the NHL ruled that the Senators would have to forfeit a first-round pick of their choosing in the next three years for their role in the botched Yevgeni Dadonov trade from the Vegas Golden Knights to the Anaheim Ducks at the 2021 trade deadline.

This ruling was clearly the tipping point, but it's always felt more like a matter of when than if for Dorion.
