One storyline to watch for each team in what's left of the 2024 NHL offseason
Odds are your favourite team has taken care of most of if not all of their heavy lifting this offseason. They've made their picks at the draft, dealt all the players on their trading block, and turned their pockets inside out at the start of unrestricted free agency. So it goes.
Put another way? For most teams, what you see is what you'll get when the 2024-25 NHL season starts in October.
That doesn't mean they won't try to improve or tie up loose ends in the almost three months between now and then though. Just look at last offseason. The Erik Karlsson trade, Auston Matthews' extension, Jake Sanderson's big deal – all of these moves occurred after the first two weeks of last offseason.
Surely, we'll get some pretty big moments out of what's left of this one, too. Here are some of the big ones to watch for, with all 32 teams.
