New Jersey Devils acquire Curtis Lazar from Vancouver Canucks
The New Jersey Devils have acquired centre Curtis Lazar from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2024 fourth-round draft pick.
Lazar, 28, is in the first season of a three-year deal that he signed with the Canucks last offseason that carries an even $1 million cap charge – which means he's signed for another two seasons after this one. As of this writing, the newest Devils centre has five points in 45 contests.

Though Lazar has struggled to find the scoresheet in Vancouver and even lost some time with injury, he's still put up characteristically strong results in a bottom-of-the-lineup role. He's also produced strong results in the faceoff circle, winning 51.9 percent of his draws.
