We often hear about players like Jonas Brodin, Jaccob Slavin, and Mattias Ekholm who do the thankless defensive work that allows their offensively gifted partners to thrive and take risks, but it's a courtesy that's not yet been extended to Florida Panthers defenceman MacKenzie Weegar.
It's strange because you would think that a top-pairing defenceman on a Stanley Cup contender with the best defensive numbers in the NHL would be renowned across the league, celebrated by fans and media alike, right?
