Pierre-Luc Dubois and Patrik Laine stole the headlines on Saturday's blockbuster swap, and rightly so. Discount the third malcontent at your own peril though. Jack Roslovic is more than a throw-in.

At first glance, it might appear as if there's not much there. Despite receiving a jump in ice time from nearly 10 minutes to 15, Roslovic’s points per game pace only increased from 0.31 to 0.41 last season. His defensive details haven't grown leaps and bounds either, but that's a Winnipeg-wide trend.

Roslovic’s probably not going to be a top-line forward, but there’s a chance – however slight – that he fleshes out his toolkit to become a capable second-liner. He’s a classic underachiever relative to his skill, a player who has top-six tools but can’t execute at a top-six rate.
