For Leo Carlsson early load management plan part of hopeful path superstardom
DENVER, Colorado – With about a minute remaining in warmups Leo Carlsson collected a trio of pucks near the blue line.
He stickhandled around the mini gauntlet of pucks, before attempting a trio of breakaways against Anaheim Ducks backup Lukáš Dostál.
He scored twice, shot an additional puck into the net, and was the final Ducks skater to leave the ice before a 3-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.
In the game, Carlsson drew a pair of penalties on the same play in the third period, including a particularly foolish rough by Kurtis MacDermid, and then scored on the ensuing 5-on-3 to make it a one-goal game.
