Flames' Rasmus Andersson day-to-day after getting struck by vehicle

Flames defenceman Rasmus Andersson was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter in Detroit on Wednesday night. 

Andersson was taken to local hospital for a full battery of tests before being released, the Flames announced on Thursday morning. 

Flames general manager Brad Treliving met with media members before the team took the ice for morning skate. 

“He was going through a crosswalk. The good news - and the most important thing - is that Ras is doing well. He was transported by ambulance to Detroit Receiving Hospital,” Treliving said.  "He won't play tonight and we'll take this real slow ... Not anything that we're overly concerned about. But he got hit, so we're going to see how things go over the next 24 hours and go from there."

"I don't want any speculation out there. There was no alcohol involved."
