Troy Terry's wide array of moves, and how he's used them to level up this season
Everyone in the hockey world is quite understandably infatuated right now with Trevor Zegras, and what he's been doing this season. He was the shiny new toy even before his remarkable assist against the Sabres last week, and that jaw-dropping highlight only helped further cement him as the talk of the league.
He's earned every bit of that with his creativity and experimentation every time he steps onto the ice, pushing the bounds of what we collectively think is possible in an NHL game setting. Regardless of what any curmudgeon (looking at you, John Tortorella) says, that's unequivocally great for the game, and hopefully, it inspires others to keep trying cool new stuff themselves moving forward.
But for as mesmerizing as he's been with the puck thus far this season, he's not actually the leader in either goals or points on his own team. Both of those honours go to Troy Terry, whose currently doing some pretty exciting things himself these days. Even though he's been somewhat overshadowed by the wow factor of his teammate, he's quietly been one of the most consistent offensive threats in the entire league this year.
