As the other teenager in Chicago, Kevin Korchinski is embracing opportunity

Everything in Chicago, and seemingly across the NHL, centres on the No. 1 pick from the 2023 NHL Draft that is expected to both save a franchise and elevate an entire sport in the United States. 

It’s created a nice soft spot for the other teenager on the Blackhawks roster, Kevin Korchinski, who has quietly made a statement with his play on the Chicago blue line. 

In seven games Korchinski is averaging 19 minutes, 39 seconds of ice time, third behind only his defensive partner Seth Jones and Bedard.
