2023 Stanley Cup Playoff Second Round Preview:: Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers

Well I certainly didn't expect to be writing this. 

As wrong as it feels to be putting together round two previews without the Tampa Bay Lightning or the Boston Bruins included, this is indeed where we have found ourselves. 

After losing eleven straight games with the opportunity to advance (a 1 in 9,999 phenomenon), the Toronto Maple Leafs finally slipped past their first round adversary off an overtime dribbler in game six. The world is now their oyster, and they are as poised as anybody to make a deep run now.

They may have expected to be facing their old foes the Bruins, but the Florida Panthers gutted their way in a series in which very few people gave them a chance and ultimately stunned the TD Garden crowd with a road OT win of their own. After struggling through poor finishing and goa
