BURKE: One Prospect to Follow From Every NHL Team’s Training Camp
Now that NHL rookie camps and their outsized import are firmly in the rearview mirror, our focus shifts to training camp. That’s when it all gets real. Well, at least for the prospects anyway.
Making a strong impression in camp is the first stepping stone on the often long and winding path to a full-time career in the NHL. If nothing else, a spot on the opening night lineup or consideration as a call-up when injuries inevitably rear their ugly head. That counts for something.
Which prospects are worth keeping an eye on with that in mind? For this article, I’m using an “I know it when I see it” approach, meaning some players that didn’t qualify for the EP Rinkside Prospect Pools will have a part to play in this article.
Let’s get to it.
