"I think I can be a great player someday": Jack Berglund's ready to take the next step toward his NHL career

It was clear when I left the 2024 NHL Draft Combine that Jack Berglund had come a long way since I last saw him at the Five Nations tournament earlier that year.

He'd filled out physically, going from 6-foot-2, 189 pounds to 6-foot-3.5, 209 pounds, the payoff after months of dedicating himself to the gym. Berglund also carried himself with a little more confidence and swagger. I knew it was only a matter of time before he heard his name called at The Sphere in Vegas later that month.

“I tried to work hard in the last offseason.
