Breaking down the 2025 CHL trade deadlines' the biggest moves

The CHL trade deadlines have come and gone. 

This was one of the most memorable stretches of trades in years, with buyers going all-in, surprise moves, and surprise buyers.

The OHL’s Eastern Conference went on a spending spree, trading away piles of picks for short-term gain, while the WHL’s Central Division brought in significant star power and now looks like the best division in junior hockey. 

Among the many big names on the move: Tanner Molendyk to Medicine Hat, Eriks Mateiko to Rimouski, Andrew Cristall to Spokane, Andrew Gibson to Oshawa, and the reuniting of the OHL’s best line.
