Shai Buium put himself in the right places at the right times for the 2021 NHL Entry Draft

Sioux City Musketeers defenceman and University of Denver commit Shai Buium is travelling an interesting path to the NHL Entry Draft. It started in San Diego, California for the 6-foot-3 defender, and he's now waiting patiently to find out his next destination.

This prospect has a lot of tools in his toolbox, and the move from the fabled Shattuck St. Mary's program to the USHL's Musketeers put them on display for everyone to see. He gained a lot of late-season momentum in NHL circles, and it's going to pay off in late July.

Even though that change of scenery seemed to spur heightened interest on the part of the NHL, Buium has nothing but good things to say about Shattuck St. Mary's.

“They like the guys that come in as a freshman, so you go in and just buy-in,” Buium told EP Rinkside. “You lea
