Beanpot preview: Night 1 features BC/BU III and championship rematch

Every three years, the Beanpot features a semifinal matchup that is often reserved for the final.

The Boston College Eagles versus Boston University Terriers is the marquee matchup in this tournament, but every three years, it happens on the first Monday of February instead of the second.

This is one of those years, and as with the head-to-head clash between Nos. 1 and 2 a little more than a week ago — in which top-ranked BU was swept by the Eagles — all eyes will be on the 7 p.m. game tonight.

They are now the Nos. 1 and 3 teams in the country, with the Eagles having leapfrogged their Comm Ave. rivals to take the top spot, and the Terriers' best revenge would be to get the win back and of course advance to the final for a record 56th time
