Montreal Canadiens prospects driving success for the Laval Rocket

Last season at a similar date, the Laval Rocket were sliding in the standings with only six wins in 23 games. They struggled to score and keep the puck out of their net and the playoffs already looked out of reach. 

The story is different this season. The team is on the winning path with a positive goal differential and solid underlying metrics. And it’s not AHL veterans driving the play, but the team’s top prospects — a great sign for the organization. 

Among the new arrivals, two names stand out: Owen Beck and Adam Engström. Coming from the OHL and the SHL respectively, these two players have adapted well to the league’s demands. They’ve outperformed more established prospects and placed themselves on the inside track for a call-up later this season.
