It wasn’t that long ago that Scott Laughton was considered an A-level prospect. A player who was projected to be a producer at the NHL level and play a marquee role on the Philadelphia Flyers roster.

He never lived up to those expectations. He came into this season with a career-high of just 32 points. He’s been a bottom-six player who kills penalties and can slide up for a minute in a pinch.

But all of a sudden, he’s found himself on a fun little third line with Kevin Hayes and Wade Allison, but more importantly, he’s found himself a spot on the team’s
