Ranking the top 150 fantasy hockey players for 2021-22
As we enter into another NHL season, we must remember that there is more at stake than simply Stanley Cup aspirations for the 32 clubs. There is fantasy hockey glory up for grabs for all of us.
As we prepare for the quintessential draft weekend that is rapidly approaching, the list-making season is upon us. Obviously, weighting all your league-specific categories is a must, but more often than not, fantasy leagues place a premium on goals and points. As such, we at EP Rinkside are pleased to release our first-ever Top-150 fantasy rankings.
The rankings for skaters will consider straight point projections. Positional factors will not be included for forwards, but we will give an edge to defenders who can mimic the production level of top-line forwards. Those are a rare beast and deserve their place near the top of the heap. The goaltenders will be considered for their ability to rack up saves, wins, and shutouts. A goaltender who will see a lot of action can end up outproducing a guy with better metrics but stuck in a crease-sharing situation.
And so, without further adieu, the top-150 fantasy players for the 2021-22 NHL season.
