Fantasy hockey Feature: Can Owen Tippett score his way to stardom?
The Philadelphia Flyers are having a surprisingly good 2023-24 season. As of this writing, they are in a playoff position. Owen Tippett has been an important factor in this turnaround. He has been a strong contributor since joining the organization, however, the question for fantasy managers is, what is his upside? Can he score 35 or more goals? What about a 70-point pace? We will dig into this and more.

Tippett was drafted 10th overall by the Florida Panthers in 2017. He played his junior hockey for the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL until he was traded in his final OHL season to the Saginaw Spirit halfway through the season. Tippett has seasons with 36 and 44 goals in the OHL, so the pedigree of a goal-scorer is certainly present.
