Carolina Hurricanes winger Andrei Svechnikov returned to the lineup over the weekend from the surgery he had last spring to repair a torn ACL in his knee. He managed five shots, five hits, and one assist in his first two appearances, skating a shade under 14 minutes a night on average. The team is easing him back into the lineup and with the strength of the roster, they can afford to do that.
