EP Rinkside's 3 Stars from the 2023 Memorial Cup semifinal game

KAMLOOPS, British Columbia –  It’s 30 degrees outside. The sun is shining and the wind is non-existent. But all eyes were fixed on the ice at the Sandman Centre for the semifinals at the 103rd CHL Memorial Cup.

Thanks to a historic 5-4 comeback, overtime victory last night, the Peterborough Petes had the opportunity to square off against the Seattle Thunderbirds for a right to meet the Québec Remparts in Sunday’s championship match-up.

Both teams came in knowing exactly what it was going to take to get there. “It’s an exciting day,” Thunderbirds winger Dylan Guenther (ARI) said. “It’s a day a lot of us wanted to be playing in. It’s going to be a lot of fun.” He then added, “We don’t want to be chasing the game. There’s no time for that this time around.”
