Michkov was drafted No. 7 overall in 2023 by the Philadelphia Flyers. Demidov is a year younger, but expected to go in a similar range in 2024 and is the No. 2 prospect for that draft behind Macklin Celebrini. 

Both are foundational pieces of a prospect pool, but if you had to choose one, who would it be?

LASSI ALANEN: First of all, it has to be said that Michkov and Demidov are both elite offensive talents who could both easily turn into star-level producers in the NHL. The gap between the two isn’t big and which one you like more largely comes down to personal preferences
