Standout performances from the U18 5 Nations in Plymouth

2024 NHL Draft

The most recent U18 Five Nations tournament in Plymouth, Michigan was set to be yet another victory for the Americans.

Not only did the USA have a clear home-ice advantage – their foremost challengers were almost all without many of their top players. Most notably, Finland – who placed second in November's tournament – was missing many of their top names as they continued to play in Liiga instead.

However, it was Sweden that emerged victorious, sealing the tournament with a last-second goal in the final game against the Americans. While Tre Kronor had ups and downs throughout the event – just barely scraping by Switzerland in overtime – they got big contributions from a group of underagers, a few of them looking like potential top picks for the 2025 draft.

Let's take a deeper dive into players who made an impression throughout the tournament.
