Adam Jecho has power forward profile that teams covet at the NHL Draft

2024 NHL Draft

It's hard to miss Adam Jecho when he takes the ice. Playing in the WHL with a 6-foot-5 frame, the young Czech often towered over his opponents. Better still, he brought that size playing centre, often thought of as one of if not the premium position of the contemporary NHL.

“I feel good on the wing or centre. It doesn’t really matter to me. I can play both positions,” Jecho slipped in there. “I played centre when I was younger and switched back and forth. It’s up to the coach where he wants to put me.”

Teams covet a player with this profile; that size and versatility are always a draw. It could be enough to vault him to the early second round, perhaps even the late first.

It doesn't hurt that Jecho was also productive in Edmonton, with 23 goals and 24 assists in only 54 games on one of the WHL
