Risers and fallers on Elite Prospects 2022 Draft board

2022 NHL Entry Draft

With another Elite Prospects Rinkside draft ranking published, it's time to explain the decisions behind the biggest risers and fallers.

Simply put, there are a lot of them, as one would expect with four months between boards. In those four months, the context of players has shifted. No longer are we relying on last season to fill in the gaps on players. Views have doubled, tripled, and even quintupled on many prospects.

In total, there are seven new additions to the top-32, which means seven players fell out of the first round. The biggest mover dropped over 30 spots, while the biggest riser went from outside the first-round to the No. 12 spot.

So, let's get to it.
